Germany energy policy of the last decades has put its economy at risk. It is time to face reality.
This great documentary from DW shows the contrast between utopian activists and incompetent politicians on the one side and expert engineers and industrialists on the other.
German industry is at risk, namely because of over reliance on intermittent sources. The increasing number of brief shortages is causing huge costs to many industries. Also, if its chemicals sector were to move fully to electrical power, the country’s need for electricity would double.
Hopefully mainstream media is becoming aware of the huge costs and risks to Europe’s prosperity of the energy transition and net zero.
